Hi there, I'm Gianpiero De Filippo and first of all I wish to thank you for stopping by and visiting me.
HouseAbruzzo is an estate agency and my company is based in Spoltore, near the Pescara airport.
It is a one-man project: I design and run my four websites, which I hope you will find informative.

My work philosophy is very easy to understand and can be described in a few words: high standards of service, personalized customer assistance and respect for the client's investment money.

In other words, after selecting properties which are safe and solid to buy from all points of view, I work hard to make sure the buyer enjoys the best possible assistance and experiences no financial risks and no commercial prejudice, whichever budget he has allocated for his home abroad.

I am a qualified estate agent, registered at the Chamber of Commerce of Pescara. It is my intention to promote Abruzzo and let the world know about this wonderful region of Italy.

You all know what an estate agent does. In my case I chose to specialize in property sales to foreign buyers only, preferably english-speaking, hoping that Abruzzo will be, in time, appreciated by a growing number of people from abroad. As I spent 13 years in London, between 1983 and 1996, British culture is an essential part of my personality.

My priority is to offer quality rather than quantity, thus a restricted selection of Abruzzo properties are on sale here. On request I can locate exactly the type of property you want to purchase in Abruzzo.

For your financial safety I must tell you here that you will be in good hands only with an estate agent officially registered in Italy, should you buy something in this beautiful country, for several reasons:

1) by law a registered agent in Italy must have a professional indemnity insurance, which means that if anything goes wrong during the property buying process, you can claim damages and you can be sure to get compensation;

2) the Chamber of Commerce has a very strict code of conduct for agents, so no obscure or unauthorized methods of work are allowed, otherwise expulsion occurs from the professional body.

3) the experience of an estate agent is not only useful for the property buying process, but is vital to understand more general features like the quality of life in the area chosen, the neighbourhood's safety and all relevant issues which is best to know in advance rather than after the purchase has been made.

I have given great relevance to the quality and, where possible, quantity of photographs taken on each property inspection, in order to present all features a house has and give you a good idea of what the property is like. Obviously I am always available for providing more details.

After working in 2004-2005 for an estate agency in Pescara (I had my 15 minutes of fame appearing in the television program I Want That House, see picture below with ITV filming crew), I felt that I could start my own business and make a difference in the real estate field by offering:

1) selected quality houses in Abruzzo in all price ranges: my website's portfolio will never consist of hundreds of properties, as I only choose the best for you, in every different category of property;

2) extensive post-sale assistance and house maintenance: normally estate agents sell the house, cash in and wish you good luck, instead I would like to help with all house needs while you are away back home, i.e bills, contractors where renovation is needed, on site security checks of your property, having your house cleaned and refreshed on request upon your return, keeping contacts with you after the sale, and any service you might find useful to have during your stay or your absence;

3) personalized service in finding the exact property in Abruzzo as requested: I shall never try to convince you, only for my business sake,that a country house is a better deal for you when I was asked to find a house by the sea. Apart from my own scouting for houses, I can search on request local newspaper property ads or collaborate with other authorized agents.
