Highlighted in blue are the municipalities in Abruzzo which boast blue-flagged beaches. A car is definetely useful for exploring all the listed places.

The A14 motorway is only 5 minutes drive from anywhere in the Abruzzo coast you are sunbathing, swimming or sailing. The local medical emergency centers and the baywatchers ensure excellent help when needed. If you like music, dancing, nightlife and meeting people, I recommend you choose Alba Adriatica. Should you want a quieter holiday on the beaches of Abruzzo, I suggest you choose a spot from Francavilla al Mare and going southwards.
